Mr. Carlton Parker has an Associate of Arts Degree from Wesley College in Dover; a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC; and a Master’s Degree in Education from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. He most recently completed certification courses for School Leadership from Wilmington College. As you can see, lifelong learning is a philosophy he lives by.
Mr. Parker has been involved in education for 25 years and has worked with students from pre-kindergarten through adult. He has worked as a music teacher; band director; a guidance counselor; and an administrator. He also periodically teaches education courses to adults at Wilmington College.
Mr. Parker is married to an educator and has one daughter, Courtney. His wife, Jane, teaches Social Studies at Middletown High School.
Along with enjoying music and spending time with his family, Mr. Parker loves to travel. Over the years he has traveled throughout the United States as well as to parts of Great Britain, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Mexico. He has also spent some time doing missionary work in Zimbabwe in Southern Africa.
